Gostionica Kaneta is located in a beautiful old house, about a hundred years old, next to the only traffic light in Opatija. You can find us in Opatija at address Nova cesta 64. Kaneta was founded in 2000 and since then it has been a refuge for all gourmets and lovers of true local Istrian and coastal cuisine, as well as lovers of widely appreciated and quality wines of our region. Kaneta sprang up on the foundations laid by the likeable and well-known old Mr. Jakus in Opatija and its surroundings, who in the 60s offered his widely known and delicious sandwiches with homemade bacon and garlic, fine homemade garlic-flavored sausages on the site of today's Kaneta. In honor we even named one dish, which is a house specialty, after him.

We offer dishes from the bread oven, homemade bread, lamb, veal, Adriatic squid, a rich selection of homemade ravioli with prosciutto, cheese and spinach, pancakes, homemade strudels made of cheese, apples and cherries. 

We organize business lunches and dinners, various celebrations, birthdays, christenings, confirmations, graduation anniversary celebrations.
